Partnership Opportunity for HVRP Grantees with Sacramento County Horse Ranch

A program that works with Sacramento County correction centers offers job training to inmates to reduce their jail time and gain valuable skills for after they are released. This program developed by the Bureau of Land Management and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office involves inmates training and adopting out wild mustangs found along the plains of Northern California and Nevada. The skills inmates learn helps advance their integration back into society and break the cycle of repeat offences.
