In this month’s CoP call, we would like to discuss collaboration with the VA’s community employment services and topics like:
– In what ways has your HVRP program been able to collaborate with your local VAMC? Do you coordinate services? Receive referrals?
-How do you support the veterans you serve in taking full advantage of the various services offered through the VAMC, including the Community Employment Coordinator (CEC), other employment or mental health services?
-Are you able to partner with Compensated Work Therapy or Supported Employment programs to assist in developing competitive employment opportunities for veterans served through these programs?
What thoughts and experiences have you had working with your local VAMC?
