NVTAC understands the struggle to provide comprehensive training while addressing other competing priorities. To help avoid the consequences of inadequate training for new staff — a steep learning curve, a trial and error approach, and poor grant performance — NVTAC has developed multiple training options to support grantee needs.
Self-Paced Training for Grantees
Helping Homeless Veterans Return to Work is a self-paced online training course developed for staff members of HVRP grantees as a primer on the core components of HVRP service delivery. This training is helpful for new grantees seeking to ramp up a program and long-term grantees that want to continue progress for successful programs.
- Module 1: An Introduction to HVRP
- Module 2: Finding Veterans — Outreach and Engagement
- Module 3: Screening, Intake, and Assessment
- Module 4: Case Management and IEPs
